I ran into a similar virus on my personal laptop, and all it took was one run of Spybot to detect and neutralize it.
I appreciate Linux because I use and enjoy Android (which is based on Linux and is also not virus-proof), but I was thoroughly unhappy the entire time I was forced to use anything other than Windows in school.

I've downloaded over (34 files?) and I never got attacked on Linux. Popel rather use the Linux from it's company.
