Unhappy Voice Over & Cyclic Redundancy prob. - 06-23-2009, 08:02 AM

Greets .... After computer being workt on ...when i try to reinstall "Alice" ...it goes fine until it asks for 2nd disc ... then at about 84% ,,, i get a window w/ "Voice-Over" and "Cyclic-Redundancy" issues ...... what does this mean? ...Anyway to get around it, thru-it, whatever ....tocontinue to RE-Install game and happily return to Wonderland ??? Sounds like your installation disk got corrupted somehow - that's nearly always what causes a Cyclic Redundency Check failure. My suggestion would be to download a fresh copy of Alice from the Alice website. If that doesn't work, I'd go back to whoever repaired your computer and bug them about it - maybe the OS got corrupted.

That error does not sound like an Alice-related issue (which is surprising, since I tend to blame most things on Alice). I'm not sure why you need two discs to install Alice, as every distribution is small enough to fit on a single CD-ROM. Splitting up the install over 2 discs is probably not the best idea.
