creating/using a timer... HELP

i am using Alice 2.2, and i'm trying to create a hidden object game with a timer...

Problems:
1. i don't have a timer
2. i have no idea about how to program said timer...
3. the project is due this friday 12/2/11
4. Please... HELP ME!

Make a number variable that decrements by 1 every second. When it reaches 0, make a method something to the effect of 'A Winner is You' or something.

but what if i want to have i timer on screen too? how do i make the numbers count down?

Use a 3D Text.
Set the 3D Text "Text" parameter to the timer number variable As a String.
The As a String function can be found on World as "[What] as a string"

Here's a link to a video tutorial that demonstrates how to create a countdown timer, with seconds and minutes using 3D text. It could easily be extended with hours if you want to go really crazy
