Error Creating Billboard

I am trying to create a billboard in order to import a picture into Alice. I keep getting an error message. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong. I am trying to move in a JPEG but the program freezes. If I try to close the error notification it reopens. Does this mean my picture is too large?

In case anyone else has had the same issue my JPEG was too large I had to go into a photo editing software program to save the file at a smaller size and resolution. Once I did this the billboard worked like a charm.
