Default Need help resizing cylinders - 08-01-2010, 01:56 PM

I want to have two cylinders one named totalScore and another named playerScore and move them both to the same location. I want the player score to be very small and increase gradually as the player receives points. I need to know how I make the cylinder gradually resize but only in height to make the effect can anyone please help me.

Hmm, add the resize object function. Then go to the options of that function, and it says dimension. Change it to top to bottom and it will do just that. Hop i helped

If you do that, the resize will be messed up. I suggest making a variable for the object's height, and then make it resize (Requiredheight/Currentheight).

Actually, it's your post that's the more confusing of the two jedi. First, resize isn't a function, it's a method. Second, you only told him how to change size once. If the player earns points gradually and the cylinder resizes by the same amount every time, it will resize irregularly, most likely making it go offscreen after a few iterations. zone's method, if done properly, will avoid that error.
