Disassociate "Set Vehicle"

I cannot figure out how to remove the "set vehicle" on an object. It cannot be dragged to the trash and the "delete" key does delete the set variable.

In my smaller projects if I make a mistake I can push "undo" or just delete the object and start again, but with larger objects it is time prohibitive.

An example would be the carousel. Some of the horses go beneath the base during their animation and I want to adjust their starting position.

You can't delete it because it's not supposed to be deleted. Set the vehicle to the world if you don't want it to have a vehicle, since the world cannot move.
