Exclamation Stoping people walking through walls? - 01-21-2012, 04:15 PM

I used various rooms and halls to create a bigger building for my character to walk through. My problem is my character can walk through the walls. How do I make it so they can't walk through the walls? I'm using an event so that the arrow keys move the character.

you can put objects in the walls and say "if person is within 'x meters' of object, thdn move backward

Or, even better, Place a dummy on the object that will have a collision, and then place another dummy on the object you want to collide with, then make it "If "object" is within "X" meters, "move away" from"

This works becuase if you back into an object...where do you go..
