make a character pick something up

In order to make a character pick something up, what would I have to do? Would I have to write a new method of my own or something?

{edit} nevermind I figred that out, but as in eating something, after i get it moved to the characters mouth, is there anyway to get that object to dissapear?

You can use SetOpacity(0) to make it fade away...
