Disabling an Object

I was just wondering if you can make it so that when you click on an object an action occurs (something as simple as saying something) and then you cannot click on that object again?

Make a variable that sets itself to true when the "is clicked on" method plays, and put that variable in an if statement encompassing the method so if it has already run once the variable will be true, and therefore will not play again.
