Default Weapon Return to position it was before - 03-02-2012, 03:51 PM

if I make my weapon do multiple actions at the same time, it usually makes the weapon in a random position after that, is there any way to make it return to its default position to when it started regardless of what position it ends up at after all the actions?

Not really, not that far into the class yet. Not even sure if we will get to that in nearly this time.

Alright, then we can imitate the use of a dummy object.

Make an arbitrary item, a ball or something. Say "set point of view to" weapon. Then, make it "is showing = false", or "opacity = 0". Then, when the weapon moves away, you can return it to it's original position by saying "set point of view to" ball!

Dummy objects do basically the same thing, but they're easier to use once you get the hang of them.

Don't forget to vehicle that ball to the camera though(if not, when the camera moves, that ball will stay in the same spot, and your gun will reset it's position to that ball making it look like it is dissapearing
