Walking while moving

Basically, Id like to know how to make it, that it does a walking animation while walking. I am not using he/she builder. I made my own walking method. What can i do to make the character use this method only while moving. I dont see anything with like, "if move forward', which was my only idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im sorry i messed up. this is for Alice 2.

you can use a do together. you can drag your method in to your other method and use a do together with your walking.

I often even walk backwards for views, or when walking against the wind as it seems (and I emphasize "Seems" ) a little easier.
