Default Walking mummy - 06-14-2015, 11:54 AM

I worked with creating new methods in Alice, particularly for walking. So for my walk I had to use together leg movements in order. I used the "turn at speed" instead of "move at speed" because the move detached the legs from the body. It was interesting how to get the timing on each leg just right. Good thing the mummy didn't need much fluidity, just a choppy left-right-left-right movement.

Then once I figured out how to take a step I combined that method with the move towards method in order to get him walking in the direction I wanted.

Luckily there were lots of helpful tutorials online that dealt with this exact thing, so I was able to follow along and make minor adjustments as needed. I still need to figure out how to "loop", because I just copied my walk method twice to get the desired effect.
