Question Maze game - 11-04-2012, 03:23 PM

Hi, Can someone please play this and see what's wrong with the methods because the object goes down the floor then comes out and it goes through some walls? Thank you

By "the collision", are you referring to when Alice finds the flower towards the end of the program? If so, what do you want to happen. Nice program...

Thank you, when the object walks it goes down the ground and it can go through the maze walls.

Yes, I saw what you're referring to...can you write in a function such that when Alice gets within a certain distance of a wall (it would have to be a pretty small distance), she stops moving forward?

As far as the second part, I didn't understand what you meant by the object going down the ground...

Like when you press a key to make alice move she slowly goes down then pops up again try to do the maze part you'll see it.

For the maze alice walks into the walls if you hold the keys to make it move.

I didn't find it all that noticeable the first time, but when I watched for it, I saw it. I think it is because of how your code is written. I don't know what to tell you about the wall thing...I didn't realize that holding the directional key down would supersede the function for Alice drawing near to the wall.

Sorry...maybe I'm just brain dead tonight, lol!

That usually happens when the character is titled slightly forward. right-click your character, and select align to "Whole World". Then try again.
