That's not really necessary,
can you just give me a step by step way to get collosion detection working? If worse comes to worse I'll post it. I want to learn too!

A step by step explanation of collision detection would take a very long time. If you can't understand it from the maze world, then there is not much else I can do for you, it would take too long to explain everything in a post.

Also, if you post your world, I'm not going to implement my method of collision detection, I'm just going to see why I can't put the gun vehicle to the camera and just do it that way.

Hey D, if you feel like explaining it in the How do I forum, I can sticky it and we can refer the various people who ask about collision detection back to that post.

Its alright X, I still haven't gotten it fully down myself, as you have seen with that ice world that I gave to you with collision detection. The method I would explain to people, the one I used in my maze world, is very laggy when you have a lot of objects in the world, so I will have to first find out how to get rid of the lag. One way I have been talking to you about is that idea of every object having it's own collision detection method only being called on when the colliding object is close to it, but since I have not tested that theory yet, I can't just publish it on the forums. And again I could publish the way to do it like it is done with the maze, but it is too laggy, so I do not want to publish that as a sticky.

If I ever decide to test the other method however, and it works, then I may decide to publish it in a long post to become a sticky. Or if you or anybody else wants to do it without waiting for me, you are more than welcome, and everybody would be able to give you credit for it.

Well I suggest to get to it! I feel like it is one of those things that make people want to rip their hair out. And I do understand how you did it in the maze, its just that, when ever I delete something to look at whatws under it, I tend to forget what I just deleted heh..

Oh, you mean delete an object to see whats under it? I thought you meant delete a line of code to see whats under it, I was going to say to just scroll down to see the code underneath...

Well if you want, you can just move the objects to see whats under it until you find what you want, and then press "undo" tons of times until its all back in place.

Question 10-20-2010, 08:44 PM

You know what? I have to ask you a couple of questions:
1) How many objects maximum can be made "solid"?
2) Can you make some objects solid for me if you can't teach me?
3) Can you copy and paste to say other worlds?
