Question Scoring with multiple objects. - 12-05-2011, 09:39 AM

Hey all,
I am making a game for my technology class using alice. It is sort of a guitar hero type game where a note falls within an area, and keys are typed to make them dissapear. There are upwards of 100 notes for each key being pressed, how can I make each one of them dissapear individually when the key is pressed when the note is in the designated area? Also, the score would be upwards of 100 (1 point for each note hit), how can I write code to score this game without using like 300 3d text objects? Also, I need the score to be displayed as the notes are hit. Help is appreciated, this project is due soon, so please dont hesitate to post. Thanks.

You should only need a single 3D text object to represent the score. Each time the score changes you can update the 3D text.

The code and video tutorial referenced in the following thread uses 3D text to display and update a score.
