Oh, it works today. The keyboard button is now a record button and the sound plays. Don't know why. The strings change colour though.

Which version of Google did you use? If you go to www.google.com, the button is still a record button.

As I said above I tried both on 3 browsers, but it works fine today

I know that, but what I was asking was this.: Each country has their own version of Google. (www.google.mx, www.google.ru, www.google.co.uk, www.google.com to name just a few) Depending upon which Google you used depended on whether or not the record feature was available or not.
