Need Help with a game...

Okay, am I going crazy or what because I'm trying to have an object controlled by the event of keys control the object, and have a if object is within 1 meter of a differnt object have it (i have tried move away, disappear, etc many different things) and it has not worked. Is there a reason? what am I doing wrong?
