Lightbulb Computer Related Things, Encrypted Apps, VBScripts, etc.. - 03-13-2015, 08:40 PM

So, maybe's now time I give everyone a walkthrough to discover things about their operating system, what to do if your computer gets a VBScript constant popup, and show you how applications were made.

Probably something most of you didn't know, but if you open an application in Notepad, you can mostly see encrypted code. Probably if it's decrypted all the code will show what it's supposed to do.

Here's Internet Explorer in Windows 2000 (the worst operating system) opened in Notepad. A failed attempt that I will try and make work.

If you see the buttons on the left. It is NOT Macintosh. My Operating System is Ubuntu. If you say Ubuntu sucks, do me a favor and go play in a dark corner.

Now, with the events of using a glitchy Windows NT 4.0 (THAT DOESN'T EVEN USE IT'S OWN AUDIO COMPARED TO EVERY OTHER OPERATING SYSTEM) I did things. (You can see below.)

Here is Windows NT 4.0. Wow. Nostalgia, makes you feel like you're using a real computer.

Internet Explorer was different back then. (yeah, this was before Windows 95, 98, M.E, 2000, XP, 7, and 8 were made. (Count whatever operating system you want.)

More coming soon.

Cool, but how does this relate to Alice? I mean it doesn't have to but I was wondering if it did...

also Ubuntu is... ... but OS is... =C...

Stuff + Other Stuff + Different Other Stuff = Things :)

My best Alice game:

Clash of the Cubes (an arena fighting game):

You should move it to a Linux Forum somewhere, unless it has something to do with Alice.

He's right, miscellaneous stuff is perfectly fine in the Lounge.

That being said...

Ubuntu? Not exactly a crowd-pleaser.

If y'all going to complain about Ubuntu, do anyone that likes Ubuntu (me included) a favor, and go play in a dark corner.

That being said, Ubuntu cannot get viruses, and that's why I love Ubuntu.

Moving on, anyone know where I can get a Windows XP ISO download for VirtualBox? There's torrents, but I think those are illegal.

If you find one, link me to it. Thanks! I need to test a virus called "BitSaver". A physical Toshiba Laptop running Windows 7 had this and it was claimed to be a piece of malware that if clicking "fix viruses", would (potentially) delete critical files.

I was going to run BitSaver on a virtual machine, reinstall the operating system the virtual machine had been infected with, then look for a way to get rid of it.

I know it's in the registry somewhere... but for me to test this I need a modern OS where Laptops can (manually) connect to Wi-Fi.
