Hi everybody, this is Andrew here. I am new to Alice, as I was just introduced to it in my Programming Logic Class. It looks fun, I know my kids were wanting to play with it too.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it runs on a linux system. Not surprisingly I ran into a few minor bugs. Maybe these are fixed in a later version, but 2.0 is all I have for linux:
1. I ran into the problem of the white bunny turning black after getting him to speak. A quick search through the archives revealed a similar problem somebody encountered on a Mac:

It appears this may be fixed on a later update, although one does not seem to exist for linux.
2. The other bug involves not being able to take a picture. The button is grayed out and unresponsive. When I tried the keyboard shortcut instead (Ctrl-G), it came out with a bug, (and the Submit a Bug process seems to be down as well). My quick searching seems to indicate that maybe other people have both of these problems, and that someday they will be both fixed. I can however take a screenshot from the system as a workaround.
I have attached a picture of my now black bunny from my trial screenshot.
