Nothing special about Alice in this regard - you can save and export/import from within the program. The libraries are in the Alice/Required directory if you want to save them to disk directly.

For library objects from the web, you can either load them into Alice and save them from there or just load them directly to a temporary directory. The first path is fairly foolproof - in a very few cases browsers and/or network servers have had trouble with the "zipped" format of the object files from the web. If this happens, the solutions have been posted in the forums - do a search on "dowload."
