Default bump objects - 10-17-2007, 04:26 PM

I am trying to create a program that has a character that bumps into objects, turns and walks away. sort of like bumper cars or a pool ball. The difficulty is I have multiple objects to bump into and i do not want to write an IF statement from hell. I see that the flightsimulator example has in the CheckForCollisionWithRing a variable Rings that is a list. there is a procedure called ring that appearently passes this list to the If statement. Ring seems to be something called an expression. Or at least that is where it is in the dropdown menu. Does anybody know how this ring works? I have just started working with Alice so this is getting a little interesting. I am trying to stay a couple of days ahead of the 8th graders I am teaching this too.

I got it. The asterisk in front of the parameter had me going. Just use an object type.
