Dummies just arn't working?????

I am creating a flight simulator and I'm trying to have the camera be able to have two different possible views on my plane. I want a view where it just follows the plane which I already have but I also want a view where it is zoomed in more and have the plane as the cameras vehicle. Ive tried to create dummies but for some reason they arn't coming to my object tree. Ive also tried creating a new world and making dummies but that worked. Any thoughts? Here's my flight sim if you want to see it.
