OK, you just do the aim method differently than I do (not saying mine is better, just different ways of doing it).
In your case, since the pivot's vehicle is the camera, the set point of view makes it move back to the pivot, which is in the same place if you weren't aiming.
Simple fix, just make the pivot move left .284 meters and move right .284 meters as well.

I have been dead for quite some time now; not much hope for resurrection.
...Have you tried the "While key is pressed" event? If not, make a new event (When key is typed (or the mouse, whichever)). Then, right-click > change to > While key/mouse is pressed
