How do I put JPEGS in Alice?

I know JPEGS aren't 3-d, but can't I still import them in the world? make it look like a wall, except its 2-d....

is it possible?

EDIT: and how do you make it so that when an object touches another object, something happens (the world stops, etc), and is there a system so that each second the world starts, a point goes up, and when the world stops, the points stop
