How do I install Alice on Kubuntu 9.04?

I'm relatively computer-savvy, but coming from Windows XP to Kubuntu 9.04 I find there's a lot I don't understand.

I'm trying to install Alice on Kubuntu, but I really don't know where to start. I've extracted the .zip file into a folder (Alice) which has only one folder inside it (Required). When I open that folder, it's not at all obvious what I'm supposed to do.

Could somebody please take me by the hand and walk me through the procedure? I'd be very grateful indeed. Even though I'm nearly 59, don't be afraid to treat me like an inquisitive child.
