Default Drop Down Menus hidden - 03-24-2010, 02:14 PM

Running Alice 2.2 on a Mac Book Pro -- the drop down menus are often hidden behind World View window -- I have had to resize other windows in order to see the options -- is there some way to make the drop down menus always appear on top?

This happens sometimes if the filenames in the dropdown menus are too long. Try renaming your objects and variables with overly long names.

Default Menu problems - 04-21-2010, 10:17 AM

This is exactly my problem also. I started another thread before I found this one. Seems as if no one has a solution since no additional post since 3/25/10. Can anyone help?
I have just recently started using Alice 2.2 for a course. My first couple of uses of the product were non eventful. Now when I use the IDE the right click for menus is often obscured by the World Window (small pic of the viewing area). For instance if I right click on World or any object in the Object Tree the menu is obscured behind the World Window and if I further click on methods a large portion of those are behind the World Window and therefore un-readable. Anyone have any ideas about how to fix this display problem? I am on a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.3 (Snow Leopard).

Download the new Alice 2.2 for MAC version (2/1/2010). A new version is coming out in May.
