Default How do you create controls? - 04-06-2012, 10:45 PM

Hi, I'm pretty new to Alice. I worked on it a bit in school but never got to do much with the program. I saw a demo where I got to fly the plane around using the keyboard controls and since I just downloaded Alice 3 onto my home computer, I was wondering if anybody could help me set up the code I need so I can use the controls to fly the plane through hoops or what not.
Thanks for any advice you guys can give me!

When you are in alice in the upper right corner there is something where you can add events. Just add a when a key is typed, right click on it and change it to while a key is pressed. Then just insert your method there.

You might want to download alice 2.2 and use that instead of 3 if you want to actually make something, alice 3 is still in e rough state due to it being a beta. but if you download alice version 2.2, you can use Dakota's reply as the correct answer to your problem.

If you are stuck on a project, check out the tutorials I made here at this link:
