Does anyone know why the "Take a Picture" feature was removed in version 2.3?

Asking for 2 reasons:
1. Has it in fact been removed or am I missing something. 2. If it was removed, what was the reason. |

It was removed for the time being; because some systems were having problems with it, which we are trying to fix...
