Default Microscope please! - 01-01-2010, 12:48 PM

Can somebody please find and upload a good microscope for me please? I have a project for school and I want to use Alice to make it, but I need a microscope model, and I still haven't figured out how to get my own objects from google warehouse.

Can you please convert this microscope? http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...f3&prevstart=0
Thank you. I need it by at LEAST Sunday, but I would appreciate it if I could have it by today, and again thanks in advance.

That object (and all of the other microscopes in the warehouse) have no textures, so all you'll get is a grey microscope. You can color in the parts of the object, but a texture isn't included in the download of the model because it was built using basic geometric shapes and colors, not texture maps.

Apologies, though, I just got back Sunday and, as you already know, my vacation spot had no internet, so I was pretty much off the grid those 2 weeks. Sorry.

For what it's worth, I've attached the converted object here.

Oh, well then for the first time I actually got an object to turn into .ase!!! I thought that because the object was gray, I had done something wrong. If you want you can see my thread labeled Science Project to see how I did.

Thanks anyway for the microscope.

Oh, well good job then!

Yeah, if there was a texture included with the model, it would have been in a folder in the zip-file called "textures" (like the model came in a folder called "models").

Colors, but not textures. You have the option of coloring the faces that are made with the modeler, and those colors will translate to Alice along with the model, making textures unnecessary for simple objects.

lol, you comment on this thread in particular just to say that you got your 300th post? Is there anything you want to say about the thread, or is it just because of the 300th? Well anyway good job. And I already finished the project so there is no need. If you want to see it, I have created a thread called Science Project or something.
