Variable named...

I need to use the "variable named" tile in order to access the variable of an object that has been passed in as a parameter.

Problem is, the "variable named" tile doesn't seem to work. No matter where I drag it, Alice won't let me drop it. How do I get this tile into my program?

I have been trying unsuccessfully to reproduce the problem that you describe. Can you create and post a simple world along with an explanation of that world, which illustrates your problem?

Can’t speak for puzzler, but my problem was to get the block to drop and do something unique. Attached is one of the few tries I actually got the block to drop (note it only works for three variable types) – but it seems a hard way to acomplish the task.
