Default Moving a spaceship - 10-01-2010, 10:48 AM

Hello, I'm making an interactive video, that will allow people to explore the world. It has to do things like:

1) Stay 10m behind the back of the ship at all times

2) Increase or Decrease altitude by pressing a button, like pressing Q to increase altitude until I let go of the button

I want to keep the camera behind the spaceship at all times, even when it turns.

Click on the camera, open the properties tab, and set the vehicle of the camera to the spaceship.

I have been dead for quite some time now; not much hope for resurrection.

Umm...that kinda helps, but I need like the racing style games thing, the one where the camera is always pointing from the engine of the ship.

Oh, that was just an example.

First, you would have to position the camera the way you want it (i.e. behind the spaceship), and THEN set the vehicle property.

If you set it earlier (before you have it positioned properly), the camera will be stuck in that position relative to the spaceship.

I think you're entirely missing the point.

JUST POSITION THE CAMERA WHERE YOU WANT IT IN RELATION TO THE SPACESHIP, AND THEN SET THE VEHICLE.

I'm not being exact, I'm demonstrating the general concept.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL!

I'm just trying to say that it looks weird when I play it, like only the worlds moving, not the object.

Yelling IS LIKE THIS!!!! WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!! IT'S BEING INSULTING AND USED WITH AN ANGRY CONNOTATION!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

lol
That's besides the point. I was just using caps for emphasis, not to act angrily, and there was a period at the end, so sorry if I appeared to offend you.
