How do you color an object?

So I finally got my custom object loaded onto Alice. Then it came to me...with out color. It was just white and gray. Why is it not the brilliant colors that it had on the image of the 3d object? I used Biturn.

Did the object come with a texture? If so, try importing the texture to the model and have the object's texture set to that.

This always happens to me with almost every model I try to import. They never come with textures, so there is no way to color them. There should really just be a direct import from .skp (and other 3D object file types) into Alice, it would make everything so much easier.

The color problem is why I have given up on importing objects from the internet into Alice.

That's why I use Blender, not sketchup.

Textures worked fine with my converted .3ds file.
