Explore the Earth

Explore the earth from space! Nothing entirely new in times of google earth but still a fun thing to do with Alice.

The autopilot takes you into orbit, then you can move around freely using the arrow keys and R(ise) to go up, S(ink) to go down. To orient yourself use L(abels).

In the labels I have focussed more on things that can be seen than on political borders. However, the labels are only a texture map that can be exchanged.

The voyage starts in Munich but any starting location can be selected by setting the world variables startNorthernLatitude and startWesternLongitude. The variable initialViewingAngleToSouth describes the viewing direction at take off (0° = south, 90° = west, 180° = north and 270° = east).
