Question collision speed. - 10-10-2011, 03:35 PM

i want to know how to figure out the speed of object1 reletive to object2 that are not perallal to the the ground.
all i can think of is checking the distace of object1 above object2 2times with a time interval between them and using the differance to determin speed.

Here's some example code.

The speed of object 1 relative to object 2 is recorded in the variable speed.

This code should work, correct me if I'm wrong.

i alredy thought of that; i was looking for a way that would be faster it probably would have to use comandes the objects were curently executing along with their orentation and position
(i dont know who to use orentation/position of ojects in the program)

To be honest Orientation and Position are two things Alice 2.2 failed to make completely functional. You can record them in a variable, but that's about it. I don't think manipulating them is possible.

Sometimes the easiest way is the best. =\

if you can you record them in a variable, then that is all i need along with knowing how to interpert them(i think that will not be too dificult).
a formula for relative speed will not be dificult to come up with(preaty good at math).
